Resumen / Abstract: Esta tesis se la ha desarrollado con el propósito de sustentar a la seguridad social como parte del derecho y no simplemente como empresa, ente asegurador o institución de servicios como se la ha definido en algunos espacios; y, de revisar sus alcances constitucionales y legales en el Ecuador. El texto de esta tesis se lo redactado en tres capítulos, el primero con un contenido doctrinario, evolutivo, cronológico y conceptual del Derecho de la Seguridad Social, con una breve referencia del proceso de reforma en el Ecuador y de los seguros en el modelo Chileno y Uruguayo; el segundo, contiene las normas constitucionales y legales, u alcance y un estudio comparativo de la normativa constitucional y legal; y, por último, en un tercer capítulo se recogen las conclusiones y recomendaciones.

What are "Moral Rights"?
